Giles Critchley – 3rd Dan

I started karate at the Cambridge University Karate Club in 1984 and have trained at a number of dojos around the country including the Salford Academy where I gained my 2nd dan black belt in 1995.

I was very pleased, 18 years and three children later, to have gained my 3rd dan whilst training at IchiBan Karate Club.

My three children have all trained at IchiBan as well. Whilst I no longer compete, I have provided medical cover at national and international competitions for the KUGB. My biggest achievement in Karate is the fact I am still training and as I get older I enjoy karate more and more.
